Today I met up with Holly, the brains (and legs!) behind the amazing 'Ride Out, Ride On' service, based in Bristol.
Holly is passionate about bringing the joy and freedom of cycling to as many people as possible and has a specially adapted tandem bike, a Hase Pino, which allows her to do this.
The bike has several adaptations making it accessible for a large range of clients with disabilities. For some individuals it's a fantastic re-introduction to cycling after an illness or injury. For others it's simply a way of getting out in the fresh air and exploring parts of their city and surrounding countryside that otherwise wouldn't be accessible to them.
The bike is set up so clients can join in with cycling as much or as little as they like making it a fantastic adjunct to individuals' therapy programmes as well.
